During last night's Group Reiki Restore class, my spirit guides provided me with some information for delivering the healing. Everyone in the class received the grounding energies of the Planet Mars, while the Pleiadians supported us through the emotional waves of Pisces. It was kind of "earth shattering". :)
Grounding, also known as Earthing, is the simple technique of making the electrical connection of our physical energy body to the earth’s energies. Humans are bioelectrical beings that carry a positive energy charge that can build up in our bodies.
Earth is a natural conductor of energy and has a negative charge. When we make contact through grounding, we discharge our excess energy, producing a profound healing effect at the cellular level.
Some benefits include:
reduced inflammation
reduced cortisol
increased energy
increased healing speed
decreased pain
restored balance to the body
Grounding has a huge impact on the Root Chakra!
Simply put, the Root Chakra is the most elemental form of human existence and forms the basis of our most primal instincts. It’s the foundation of our survival centre and the basis of our survival instincts. This is why the Root Chakra is the area that relates to stability, security and our most basic needs.
The energy of the Root Chakra allows us to harness courage, resourcefulness and the will to live through challenging times. Root Chakra also connects us with the spiritual energies of our ancestors, and our ancestors’ challenges and triumphs. Since Root Chakra carries our ancestral memories, basically everyone experiences challenges or imbalances within Root Chakra.
Living in colder climates sometimes challenges us to find creative ways of balancing our energies. Whether you live in the mountains of Siberia or on the sandy beach of San Diego, here are some grounding techniques to help you balance your Root Chakra:
Exercise, dance and movement
Meditation (specifically those that connect you with your body and the Earth)
Walk barefoot on the Earth
Get out in nature
Practice letting go. Get rid of old junk and things that are no longer useful.
Practice gratitude
Recognize the abundance in your world
Give and receive healthy touch, such as massage
Practice self-reliance
Create safety in your environment
Get a pedicure
Make something with your hands – for example, gardening, painting, cooking.
As we slowly move into spring and the ground begins to melt, try these practices out for yourself and see what happens.
Reminder As a reminder, during the Reiki Level 1 and 2 courses we’ll discuss the 7 major chakras in more detail. Contact me today at earthandsoulwellness@gmail.com to register for the courses starting April 24 and May 1! or click HERE to find out more about becoming a Certified Reiki Healer!
